The location of your engagement session plays a big part in how your images will turn out! You mainly want to choose an area that offers beautiful light! That’s the key! I personally prefer locations not only where gorgeous light hits, but also with a lovely landscape or architecture. But it’s the cherry on top when the location has sentimental value to the couple. This romantic UT Gardens summer engagement session did have a lot of background story that made it all the more special. I think you’ll love Jamie and Ben’s story.
Jamie and Ben chose the UT Gardens for their engagement session for a few reasons which are all connected. The first being this is where Ben proposed to Jamie! So sweet! But he not only proposed to her at the gardens but in the Hostas garden specifically which he designed and planted! This makes it even sweeter!! They wanted to have their portraits done there because Ben used to work there as a landscaper, so a lot of the gardens there was his handiwork. Overall, this romantic UT Gardens summer engagement session is definitely one of my favorites! I met Jamie and Ben at sunrise at the gardens and instantly fell in love with both of them. They were over the top excited about their portraits and so kind and accommodating to do whatever…even though they were the clients! The images will also show how radiant and stunning Jamie is! Seriously, I had sooo many favorite images of her from this session. And Ben was just infatuated with her, it made my heart melt. I’m truly looking forward to their wedding celebration this October!
If you loved this local engagement portrait session, you will then love this other local Tennessee engagement session as well! If you’ve never visited the University of Tennessee Gardens before, you definitely need to!
