I have been dying to share this wedding! I photographed this elegant Asheville winter wedding just over a year ago. I always say this because I believe it’s very true – winter weddings are so underrated! There are many different aspects to winter weddings you do not find throughout the rest of the year that I believe add a touch of romance and elegance to the wedding. Imagine a cozy candle-lit dinner indoors with elegant, simple evergreen foliage, and so many gorgeous wedding gowns and/or capes options to accommodate the winter temps. This elegant Asheville winter wedding was nothing short of all of those things – and more!
Welcome to Kate and Cory’s wedding day. Due to Covid-19, the wedding had been rescheduled from its original date in March, and the size had been significantly reduced to accommodate for guidelines and people’s health. Although the wedding may have been altered, it was nothing short of a beautiful celebration! Kate and Cory waited extra long for their big day (as did many other 2020 engaged couples), but they were so patient and sweet about all of it. They were wedded at the historic, stone manor Homewood in the heart of Asheville, North Carolina. After photographing their romantic winter wedding there at Homewood, I definitely wouldn’t mind photographing more beautiful, quaint weddings at this charming venue. As you scroll through the images, you will see what I mean.
