There’s no place like home, truly! This cozy in-home newborn family session will prove that. And if there were ever a time to be home (apart from the current massive COVID-19 quarantine happening across the nation), there is no better time to be home for a new-born family session. Or any family session for that matter! Family photo sessions are meant to hold dear memories of that specific time in life forever to remember. So why not have them be remembered in your home? It is after all where you spend the majority of life together. Where children grow and make messes. Where you as parents started out as a couple and figured out life together. If you haven’t ever, you should definitely consider an in-home family session.
This was a quaint, newborn family session. When Jocelyn asked to have her newborn pictures of little baby Joseph, I was ecstatic to say the least. One, because mothers often forget about professional newborn portraits. We live in a day and age where everyone has a very nice phone camera to just take pictures every day, so they just simply don’t think about needing to hire a professional to capture flattering, memorable heirloom images of their new baby. I was also ecstatic because two, she wanted the session to be in their home. What better atmosphere and location is there than to have a family photographed in their childhood home?! All the boys and I also believe Jocelyn and Thomas felt so at ease being in a familiar environment, and the photos really show it!
Needless to say, I am IN LOVE with this cozy in-home newborn family session! I had them get cozy and snuggling together for the portraits. Adorable baby Joseph stole the show while his big brothers cuddled him. His big brothers were also very serious bottle feeders and knew exactly what they were doing, so I think Joseph is in good hands. 😉 It was comical too to see emotions unfold between the 3 brothers during the session (keep an eye out for the pictures of little Joseph crying with his brothers ;)). I hope these images make you smile as much as they make me smile.
